Annual Environmental Fair Info

Campo Band's Tribal EPA hosts an Environmental Fair/Earth Day event every year to celebrate our environment and keep the community informed. For more information about the event, keep scrolling...

Campo's annual Environmental Fair, taking place on Saturday, April 18, 2026 and being co-hosted by the Manzanita Band Environmental Department at the Campo Tribal Administration building, starts at 10:00 am and generally lasts until 2:00 pm with community members of all ages, small children through seniors, in attendance.

This outreach event has been our way of reaching the most community members (both Tribal and non-Tribal) each year to keep them informed about what our EPA department does and to help them better understand important environmental protection themes...which can sometimes be very complex. In the past, we have focused on environmental topics including air and water quality, water conservation, pollution prevention, solid waste reduction, habitat/species preservation, sustainable living, indoor air quality, climate change, invasive pest management, and human health. In order to develop new partnerships and help create connections between our rural community members and local organizations/services, Campo also invites special guests and other Tribal Environmental Programs to do presentations or have informational booths for our attendees to visit.

In addition to the outreach component, we also provide lunch, live entertainment and usually some really cool raffles. Raffle items have ranged from basic gardening tools/supplies and emergency preparedness items (i.e. first aid kits, jumper cables) to solar ovens and PurpleAir sensors. CEPA also tries to have fun, “outdoorsy” raffle stuff for the kids, such as: sports balls/equipment, insect identification kits and safety gear (i.e. helmets, knee & elbow pads).

If you have any questions, need more information about the event, or would like to have a booth, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 619-378-5083.
